Event Planning & Marketing @ SecurityScorecard [Internship]

About Us:

Fast growing, well funded, cyber security start-up based out of Manhattan looking for an Event intern to join the Marketing department. We are solving the problem of helping companies manage the collective cybersecurity risk of their vendors, partners, and themselves.

This internship has potential to become a full time position for the right candidate. This position will report to the Sr. Director of Marketing.


  • Assist with coordinating and executing events, including industry trade shows, conferences, seminars, and webinars
  • Oversee and manage onsite event execution and relationship with venue(s)
  • Help secure venue contracts, order equipment rentals, supplies and signage
  • Perform post event analysis, including ROI and recaps
  • Track and process vendor invoices and payments
  • Coordinating shipping and mailing needs
  • Create and manage event timelines to ensure benchmarks and deadlines are met
  • Research and order SWAG when needed for an event


  • Prior event execution experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with executives, senior management, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Detail-oriented, organized, collaborative, and creative
  • Ability to multi-task while maintaining a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Curious about exploring and implementing new technology and innovation into events
